On behalf of Clonakilty Urban District Council , it gives me great pleasure and satisfaction to welcome this unique web site which portrays the benefits of developing industry in Clonakilty from both at home and abroad. Clonakilty is recognised as a major tourist center. However it also has the necessary infrastructure to accommodate industrial development with the co-operation of the Urban District Council and Development Association , the I.D.A., and the West Cork County Enterprise Board. Clonakilty Urban District Council in conjunction with the Local Development Association has been proactive in creating the infrastructure and momentum behind this project. I feel confident that this web site will encourage both indigenous and international industry to our area which I hope will prove to be of mutual benefit to those availing of our location and to the town of Clonakilty.
